About Jeryn Paige DeCoppel, Broker

Real estate today is very exciting. Many changes are taking place, especially with respect to technology. I am constantly looking for new ways to improve the way I conduct business. At the same time, I am determined to continue offering good old-fashioned customer service. You can count on me to give you the attention you deserve, whether you are buying or selling.

Ciao! I am Jeryn Paige DeCoppel and I am a Broker with RE/MAX Land Exchange Ltd. Brokerage in Port Elgin, ON. In May 1989 I was born in Owen Sound and raised in Bruce County. I grew up watching my mom work diligently, during uncommon hours, in a job she absolutely loves. As I got older, her career intrigued me.

The Realtor®

In the past, I have spent a lot of time in my Mom’s (Cleo’s) office working as an unlicensed administrative assistant, which has provided me with an effective knowledge of the daily routines of a registered Realtor®. I received my real estate license in August of 2014, and have been working hard to learn all the ins and outs of the business.

Having my Mom as a mentor is fantastic because of her tenure, extensive knowledge and her willingness to teach me everything that I need to know! Her enjoyment at working with people is something that we share; and she has greatly emphasized the need to always be honest and accurate, and make the client #1!

Regions

Aside from Port Elgin, I can help you with buying and selling properties in a number of surrounding areas including Southampton, Saugeen Township, Paisley, Kincardine and Bruce Township; I cover both town and rural areas, which lends to a unique blend of lifestyles.

One Half of Team DeCoppel

Social media is the name of the game, and that is my specialty. I am quite in tune with the “socialsphere” of today’s world and I love applying that to my business in any way possible. I am an avid blogger, maintaining the Team DeCoppel blog titled Saugeen Shores Buzz. I gain maximum exposure for my Sellers through my blog, Facebook, YouTube Channel, Instagram and Pinterest- while also providing Buyers with thorough exposure my self and my clients’ properties. My ability to stay connected through various virtual channels allows for opportunities that other agents may not come by.

Of course, social media aside, I also spend time working with my Mom to learn all the mechanics of wheeling and dealing in Real Estate.

The Fab Factor

I love reading and writing; I’m all about horror, fantasy and sci-fi! I like running and working out at Fitness Funatics, but I also love food-tacos are a fav (actually any sort of Mexican food)! Friends is hands-down the best TV show ever created, although I do also enjoy Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, and Vampire Diaries. I adore cooking, travelling and I believe that a song can change your mood like that! *snaps fingers.

The Person

After obtaining my high school diploma from SDSS, I attended Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. I spent four years there, beginning as an English major and graduating with a degree in Environmental Science
and Geography.

During the last 8 years, a lot of my time has been spent in the hospitality industry as a server/bartender. I absolutely love the social aspect that accompanies this type of job. I have worked in casual dining/bar environments around town, as well as a fine dining establishment at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge in Jasper, Alberta. Aside from the social quality that I enjoy, I also love the fast-paced setting; I am rather skilled at multi-tasking, as well as managing stress and anxiety during high intensity situations.

As mentioned above, I also really love to travel. The opportunity to experience other cultures and sceneries is a fantastic privilege. A couple of my favorite places include Costa Rica, Spain and Greece and I am hoping to make it to South America and French Polynesia! As a result of my adoration for travel, I have attempted to make my home in a few new places, including Jasper and Dublin, Ireland. These particular experiences, however, have taught me that my true home is here in Bruce County.
